Daniel Defense
The Daniel Defense MK18 5.56 NATO pistol is a combat-proven 10.3" AR pistol built on the same platform trusted by special operations units for close-quarters work. This configuration pairs Daniel Defense's mil-spec lower and upper receivers with a cold hammer-forged barrel, carbine-length gas system, and SB-Tactical stabilizing brace—delivering a compact, maneuverable package that handles like an SBR without the NFA paperwork. Whether you're running drills at the range, building a home-defense setup, or setting up a truck gun, the MK18's balance of size and shootability makes it a natural choice for shooters who want combat reliability in a pistol format.
Every component reflects Daniel Defense's uncompromising engineering. The upper and lower receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum, CNC machined and hard coat anodized. The barrel is chrome-moly vanadium steel, cold hammer forged with a 1:7 twist and chrome lined bore—HP/MPI tested for consistency. The gas system runs carbine length direct impingement with a low-profile gas block machined from hardened 4140 steel. The handguard is Daniel Defense's RIS II, the same railed platform supplied to USSOCOM, giving you genuine mil-spec accessory real estate in FDE anodize. You get a properly staked M16-profile bolt carrier group, an H buffer, Daniel Defense flash suppressor, and the company's signature pistol grip with soft-touch overmolding and integral trigger guard.
The SB-Tactical SBA3 brace provides a stable, comfortable shouldering point, and the pistol ships with a 32-round Daniel Defense magazine, a full-latch impact case, and comes complete and ready to shoot. All this is assembled in the USA. At 5.95 lbs and 28 5/8" overall, the MK18 doesn't sacrifice ergonomics or control for compactness—you get a gun that runs fast and handles like it was designed in a real-world crucible, because it was.
