Daisy
The Daisy 1938 Red Ryder youth lever action .177 cal BB air rifle is an iconic first gun—the kind that's been introducing kids to shooting fundamentals for generations. This combo package includes everything a young shooter needs to get started: the rifle itself, plus shooting kit components to support safe, enjoyable backyard plinking and target practice. Built with a steel barrel and receiver paired to a fixed wood stock, the Red Ryder delivers that classic lever-action feel that makes shooting genuinely fun, not just functional.
If you're looking for a youth air rifle that actually teaches proper trigger control, sight picture, and gun handling—without the noise, recoil, or cost of centerfire—the Red Ryder is the proven choice. Parents and grandparents have trusted it for decades because it works: low velocity, forgiving, accurate enough to build confidence, and rugged enough to survive years of use. The lever action mechanism is intuitive and satisfying to operate, making every shot feel earned rather than just spray-and-pray.
This isn't a toy gun disguised as training gear. It's a legitimate air rifle chambered in .177 BB, meant for supervised shooting by young hunters and target shooters who are ready to learn the fundamentals. The fixed wood stock and engraved design give it character—it looks and feels like a real rifle, which actually reinforces the respect and focus that responsible shooting demands.
This is sold as a combo package that includes the rifle plus shooting kit components, though the specific accessories included are not detailed in the available product information. Contact us to confirm the exact contents of your combo.
Yes—the Red Ryder is a youth air rifle designed for young shooters learning proper handling and fundamentals. Adult supervision is required, and it's appropriate for kids old enough to follow safety rules and respect the rifle as a real firearm.
This model fires .177 caliber BBs (round steel projectiles). Some air rifles fire .177 pellets instead, which are shaped differently and typically offer different accuracy and velocity characteristics. The Red Ryder is BB-only.
