The CZ Custom AO1-C 9mm with rail is a purpose-built competition and tactical pistol that marries classic CZ 75 ergonomics with modern performance engineering. Built from the ground up at CZ Custom in Mesa, Arizona, the AO1-C represents what happens when you take decades of proven handgun design and refine every detail for shooters who demand precision and reliability. If you're serious about competition, defensive carry, or precision shooting, this is a pistol engineered for you.
The frame is the foundation of everything that makes the AO1-C stand out. CZ Custom's hammer-forged and CNC-machined frame delivers a solid, durable platform, while the massively heavy dustcover is the secret weapon—it absorbs recoil and tames muzzle rise in ways lighter designs simply can't match. That weight translates to faster follow-up shots and more predictable handling. Add in the deep beavertail, undercut trigger guard, and 25 LPI checkering, and you've got a pistol that fits your hand and stays put under rapid fire. The internal magwell aids smooth, fast reloads when every millisecond counts.
The trigger is where CZ Custom obsesses over consistency. Both the hammer and sear are directly pinned to the frame, eliminating play and ensuring a crisp, predictable break every time. Double-action pull runs 8–8.5 pounds, while single-action comes in at 3–3.5 pounds with a short reset—ideal for competitive strings. The trigger itself is sourced from the proven CZ 85 Combat platform, a design trusted by shooters worldwide.
The slide is machined from 4140 bar stock with front and rear serrations for confident handling and slide manipulation. Sights are match-ready: a CZ Custom low-mount rear paired with a fiber-optic front for fast target acquisition in variable light. The centerpiece is a 3.854" match-grade bull barrel in 416 stainless steel—precision engineered for tight groups and reliability. The AO1-C ships with two 15-round P-07 magazines, tapping into the high-capacity ecosystem of CZ's P-09/P-07/P-10 platform.
