The CZ 457 Scout SR 22LR barrel is a drop-in replacement designed for shooters who want to refresh their rifle or build a compact .22 LR platform from the ground up. At 16.5 inches, this nitride-finished barrel delivers the handling advantages of a shorter profile while maintaining the reliable accuracy CZ is known for in rimfire rifles. Whether you're setting up a truck gun, a youth trainer, or a dedicated small-game hunter, this barrel gives you the foundation for a nimble, purpose-built rifle.

The nitride finish provides real-world durability—resisting corrosion and handling the wear of regular use better than bare steel. For a .22 LR, that's practical insurance if you're shooting in variable conditions or storing your rifle in less-than-ideal environments. The Scout designation points to CZ's intent here: compact, efficient, and built for practical fieldwork rather than bench rest precision.

CZ 457 owners upgrading barrels will appreciate the straightforward fit and finish. If you're new to the platform, this barrel pairs with the 457 receiver and bolt assembly to create a complete, functional rifle. At this barrel length, you'll notice the difference in maneuverability compared to longer configurations—a real advantage in brush, vehicles, or tight hunting situations where a full-length rifle becomes a liability.
