The Crimson Trace CMR-206 Rail Master green laser sight is a compact, rail-mounted aiming solution for shooters who want fast target acquisition across pistols, rifles, and shotguns. If your firearm has a modern M1913 Picatinny or Weaver-style rail, the CMR-206 mounts directly without gunsmithing—install it in minutes and move it between guns as needed. This is the kind of versatile, honest tool that works equally well for tactical training, home defense sight-in, or range work where you want a bright aiming reference that your eye naturally tracks.

The laser puts out 5mW peak output at 515nm—the brightest green the law allows—because green light registers faster and clearer to the human eye than red. Three operating modes let you choose what suits the moment: momentary (press to activate), strobe, or constant-on. Ambidextrous control tabs mean you can fire the laser from either side of the gun, and a 5-minute auto-shutoff conserves battery life without requiring you to remember to flip a switch. A single 1/3N Lithium battery delivers approximately 2 hours of constant run time, so you're not tethered to frequent battery swaps.

Build quality reflects Crimson Trace's reputation: the polymer housing is tough, and the mounting system uses their Secure Lock Technology to hold zero even through rough handling. This isn't flashy—it's a straightforward tool that does one job well and gets out of your way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the CMR-206 fit my rifle or pistol?

Yes, if your firearm has a modern M1913 Picatinny or Weaver-style accessory rail. The CMR-206 is designed to mount on either type. Common platforms include AR-pattern rifles, most modern tactical pistols, and rail-equipped shotguns. Check that your gun has a rail before ordering.

Can I move this laser between different guns?

Absolutely. The CMR-206 mounts using Crimson Trace's Secure Lock Technology and can be installed and removed without tools in a matter of minutes. You can transfer it between any compatible firearms with M1913 Picatinny or Weaver rails.

How long does the battery last?

A single 1/3N Lithium battery provides approximately 2 hours of runtime when the laser is in constant-on mode. The laser also features a 5-minute auto-shutoff to help conserve battery life if you forget to manually deactivate it.

What's the difference between the three firing modes?

Momentary requires you to press the control tab to activate the laser; it deactivates when you release. Strobe emits the laser in pulses. Constant-On keeps the laser active continuously until you press the button to turn it off. You can select whichever mode suits your shooting scenario or preference.
