The Cold Steel Recon 1 Micro Spear Point folding knife is a compact, dependable blade built for users who need serious cutting performance in a pocket-sized package. At just 1.1 ounces and 4-3/8 inches overall, this folding knife punches well above its weight—literally. It's earned a solid reputation among military, law enforcement, and first responders for its reliability under demanding conditions, and it works equally well for everyday carry, field dressing game, or general camp tasks where a lightweight but capable knife makes sense.

The real strength here is Cold Steel's Tri-Ad lock, a proven design that keeps the blade securely in place during hard use and gives you confidence that your fingers stay safe when you're working with pressure. The 2-inch blade is stonewashed 4034 stainless steel—a material that balances edge-holding with corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance. The 2.5mm blade thickness gives the knife structural rigidity without excess weight, and the spear-point geometry delivers a sharp tip for precise cuts while maintaining the structural integrity needed for real work.

The handle is molded Griv-Ex, a durable synthetic material that provides secure grip and won't degrade from sweat, water, or harsh conditions. An ambidextrous pocket clip is included, so whether you're right or left-handed, you can carry this knife in your front pocket without fuss. If you're building a serious EDC loadout and space is at a premium, or if you want a proven backup blade that won't let you down, the Recon 1 Micro delivers exactly what its reputation promises: simple, honest cutting performance.
