Code Blue
The Code Blue OA1089 Doe Estrous Drag System is a liquid scent lure designed to bring rutting bucks into range during the whitetail season. This 1 fl oz drag system uses doe estrous scent to trigger the predatory and breeding instincts that drive mature bucks to investigate, making it a practical choice for hunters working scrapes, trail systems, and bedding areas where you want to establish a scent trail leading to your setup.
Drag systems work by laying down a scent line from a distance back to your stand or blind—the buck follows the estrous odor and naturally approaches from downwind, presenting a higher-probability shot opportunity. Code Blue's formulation is concentrated enough to create an effective scent corridor without requiring constant reapplication during a hunt, and the compact 1 fl oz bottle fits easily into your pack or hunting vest for mobile or stationary hunts.
Estrous scent is most effective during the rut when does are in or approaching their cycle, and bucks are actively seeking them. Use it in conjunction with your local deer sign—active rubs, fresh scrapes, and well-traveled trails—for best results. This is a straightforward, proven scent strategy that works across most whitetail habitats and doesn't require electronics, batteries, or complex setup.

A drag system is deployed by laying down a scent line from a distance away and trailing it back toward your stand or blind position. The buck naturally follows the scent and approaches from downwind, creating a higher-probability encounter.
Yes. Estrous drag systems complement scrape-hunting, rut-phase stand placement, and other scent-based tactics. Many hunters combine drag systems with cover scents or lures targeting doe herds to increase overall effectiveness.
