Cobra Tec Knives Llc
The CobraTec Lightweight 3.25" OTF Drop Point Knife is a no-nonsense automatic blade built for hunters, tactical users, and outdoor professionals who need a reliable cutter that won't bog down a pack or pocket. This out-of-the-front (OTF) folder launches a 3.25-inch drop point blade—a profile that handles everything from field dressing game to camp chores—with a quick, definitive action and one-handed deployment. The drop point geometry gives you a sharp tip for precision work without the fragility of a needle-nose design, making it practical for real use in the field.
The blade is forged from D2 steel, a tool steel that holds an excellent edge and resists corrosion better than basic stainless, though it does require a little more care than high-maintenance exotic alloys. For the handle, CobraTec chose stonewashed aluminum—lightweight enough to vanish in a pocket, durable enough to handle the rigors of a working knife. The finish disperses light and hides scratches, so your knife looks good even after months in the field. A pocket clip is included for secure IWB or OWB carry, letting you keep the knife accessible without adding weight to your belt or pack.
If you're building a versatile camp blade or looking for an OTF that doesn't require a gun-safe-sized sheath, the CobraTec Lightweight earns its spot in your gear rotation. It's the kind of knife that shows up and does the job without apologies.

Yes. D2 is a tool steel that holds a sharp edge very well and resists corrosion better than basic stainless steel. It does require a little more care than high-maintenance alloys—keep it dry when not in use—but it's a proven choice for field work and camp blades.
Drop point geometry is a classic hunting blade shape. The curve of the edge and the position of the tip give you good control for detailed work like field dressing, while the sturdy spine resists breakage under pressure. It's also versatile enough for general camp cutting and routine tasks.
Yes. Aluminum is lightweight without sacrificing durability, making it ideal for a working knife you'll carry often. The stonewashed finish helps hide wear and disperses light so the blade deployment is less obvious in low light. It won't rust, but like any tool, it benefits from basic care and a dry environment.
