CMMG
The CMMG Dissent MK4 6.5" 9mm pistol in Coyote Tan brings AR-platform modularity and reliability to 9mm shooting in a compact, purpose-built package. Built on CMMG's proven Mk4 platform, this 9mm AR pistol leverages the ergonomics and customization potential shooters expect from the AR ecosystem while delivering a dedicated 9mm platform that's equally at home at the range, in competition, or for home defense. At 4.6 pounds and 14.7 inches in overall length, the Dissent is nimble enough for tight quarters and handy enough to keep you on target during rapid fire.
The Dissent's real advantage is its thoughtful engineering around 9mm use. The side charger—non-reciprocating and positioned on the left—lets you keep your sight picture while charging the gun, and it's plenty fast once you dial in the motion. A compact action-radial delayed blowback operating system handles the 9mm cartridge efficiently, and the gun ships with two 30-round CMMG 9mm magazines. Those mags have the same visual profile and manual of arms as standard 5.56 magazines, which cuts the learning curve if you're jumping between this gun and an AR in rifle caliber. The double-stack design feeds reliably from top to bottom, and loading is straightforward even under stress.
Custom and accessory-ready out of the box, the Dissent features a 5.5" proprietary M-LOK handguard for mounting lights, lasers, or vertical grips without rail clutter. The end plate is a 1913 Picatinny rail, so you can attach slings, braces, or stocks to suit your mission. The barrel is 4140CM steel with a 1:10 twist and threads at 1/2 x 28 for common 9mm suppressors. A CMMG ZEROED linear compensator is already installed, keeping muzzle rise in check. The trigger is a TriggerTech AR-D two-stage, crisp and predictable. The Coyote Tan Cerakote finish is tough, looks good, and pairs well with optics and accessories in earth tones.
If you've run AR-platform rifles and want a reliable, modular 9mm pistol that doesn't require learning a completely new manual of arms, the Dissent MK4 fills that gap without compromise.

The Dissent shoots CMMG 9mm conversion magazines designed for the AR platform. These magazines have the same visual profile as standard 5.56mm magazines, so if you run AR-15s, the manual of arms feels natural. They're double-stack, true double-feed design for reliable, fast loading. The gun ships with two 30-round magazines.
Yes. The barrel is threaded at 1/2 x 28, which is the standard 9mm suppressor thread pitch. The CMMG ZEROED linear compensator that comes installed is removable, so you can thread on a suppressor. Note: local and federal laws on suppressors vary—confirm your jurisdiction's rules before purchasing.
The Dissent is built on CMMG's Mk4 platform—a purpose-built 9mm AR variant, not a standard 5.56 upper swapped to 9mm. It uses a compact action-radial delayed blowback system optimized for 9mm ballistics. While you'll recognize the ergonomics, controls, and accessories compatibility, the internals are dedicated to reliable 9mm performance.
