CMMG
The CMMG .22 ARC barrel assembly is a 16.1-inch, complete sub-assembly built for AR15 platform rifles. If you're building a modern intermediate cartridge AR or upgrading an existing rifle, the .22 ARC delivers flat-shooting performance out to extended distances—ideal for precision target work, small-game hunting, or varmint control. This barrel assembly arrives ready to integrate into your AR15 build, with no secondary gunsmithing required.
Constructed from 4140CM chromoly steel with a nitride finish, the CMMG barrel resists corrosion and wear while maintaining the durability shooters expect from a mid-weight contour. The 1:7 twist rate stabilizes .22 ARC projectiles across the cartridge's range of bullet weights, from 40-grain varmint rounds to heavier match-grade loads. The rifle-length gas port is tuned for reliable cycling in a standard AR15 platform, and the muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 for direct attachment of suppressors or muzzle devices.
As a sub-assembly, this barrel includes everything needed for installation: the barrel itself, properly headspaced and ready to headspace your upper receiver. No additional barrel work, threading, or custom fitting—just bolt it in and start shooting. Whether you're assembling a dedicated .22 ARC rifle or swapping uppers to explore the cartridge's accuracy and range potential, this CMMG assembly cuts build time and simplifies the process.
| Caliber | .22 ARC |
| Barrel Length | 16.1 inches |
| Barrel Contour | MT (mid-weight) |
| Twist Rate | 1:7 |
| Material | 4140CM chromoly steel |
| Finish | Nitride |
| Muzzle Thread | 1/2×28 |
| Gas Port | Rifle length |
| Platform | AR15 |
Yes. This CMMG sub-assembly is designed for standard AR15 platforms and arrives headspaced and ready for installation in a compatible upper receiver.
The barrel is threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard .22 ARC thread pitch. Any suppressor, flash hider, or muzzle brake with that specification will fit directly.
This is a sub-assembly, meaning it includes the barrel ready to integrate into your upper receiver. You will need an upper receiver, bolt carrier group, and other standard AR15 components to complete a rifle.
The 16.1-inch length and 1:7 twist are optimized for .22 ARC's extended-range capabilities, making it well-suited for precision target shooting, varmint hunting, and small-game applications.
