CMMG
The CMMG 24" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel sub-assembly puts precision long-range capability into your custom AR build without the guesswork. Built from 416 stainless steel and finished with a bead-blasted surface, this barrel assembly arrives pre-headspaced with the barrel extension already installed—meaning you can integrate it into your MK3 upper group and get straight to the range. The heavy taper profile keeps weight reasonable while maintaining the rigidity needed for accurate shot placement at distance, and the 1:8 twist rate stabilizes the wide range of 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition available to handloaders and factory ammunition users alike.
6.5 Creedmoor has become the go-to cartridge for hunters and precision riflemen who demand flatter trajectories and less wind drift than .308 Winchester, without the magnum recoil. The rifle-length gas port and .936 gas journal are dimensioned for reliable function with standard 6.5 Creedmoor loads. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24, the industry standard for suppressors and muzzle devices on modern precision rifles, giving you flexibility to add sound management or brake options as your build evolves.
Since this is a pre-assembled barrel sub-assembly with headspacing already verified, you're buying confidence in fit and function—not a pile of loose components that need professional setup. Whether you're assembling a long-range hunting rifle, a precision target gun, or a versatile middle-distance shooter, this CMMG barrel delivers the foundation for an accurate, reliable 6.5 Creedmoor platform.

Yes. This barrel sub-assembly is designed for CMMG MK3 upper groups. The barrel extension is already installed and the headspacing is verified, so you can assemble it directly into your MK3 upper without additional machine work.
The 1:8 twist is optimized for the range of standard 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition available from major manufacturers and for handloaded rounds. This twist rate is stable across typical hunting and target loads in this cartridge.
The 5/8-24 thread pattern is the standard for 6.5 Creedmoor and accepts most suppressors, muzzle brakes, flash hiders, and other muzzle devices threaded to that specification. Verify compatibility with your chosen device before purchase.
This is a barrel sub-assembly only—the barrel, extension, and gas components. You will need a compatible MK3 upper receiver to complete your build.
