CMMG
The CMMG Banshee Upper Group in 9mm with a fixed ejector and 5-inch barrel is a purpose-built upper receiver for shooters who want a compact, maneuverable 9mm AR platform. This complete upper assembly pairs CMMG's radial delayed blowback operating system—a refinement that delivers reliable function in a tight package—with everything you need to get on target: bolt carrier group, charging handle, compensator, and dust cover all included and zero-ready out of the box. If you're building a truck gun, home-defense AR, or compact range rifle in 9mm, this upper delivers the engineering and ergonomics CMMG is known for without compromise.
Built on a billet 6061-T6 aluminum receiver and dressed in Cerakote, the Banshee upper features a 1:10 twist 4140CM barrel designed for reliable function with standard 9mm ammunition. The CMMG EML4 M-LOK handguard gives you modular mounting options for lights, lasers, or other accessories, while the ZEROED linear compensator helps manage recoil impulse in this nimble caliber. At 13.7 inches in overall length and just 2.6 pounds, this upper is genuinely compact without sacrificing durability or controllability.
Compatible with CMMG MkGs, Mk17, or mil-spec AR15 lowers when paired with CMMG 9mm conversion magazines, the Banshee upper works with your existing platform rather than forcing you into a proprietary ecosystem. Whether you're running it suppressed, as a braced pistol lower, or as a short-barreled rifle, you get a 9mm upper that feels at home in close quarters and performs consistently downrange.
