The Citadel Coach side by side 12ga shotgun with 18" barrels is a compact, classic break-action double gun built for hunters and sport shooters who value simplicity, reliability, and handling ease in tight quarters. The short barrel makes it maneuverable in brush and vehicles without sacrificing the authority of 12-gauge power—a proven choice for upland game, home defense, and tactical training where quick target engagement matters.

Built on a traditional side-by-side platform with a single crisp trigger and barrel selector, the Coach keeps controls straightforward and maintenance minimal. The nickel finish resists corrosion, while Turkish walnut furniture on the forend and checkered grip provide a classic look and secure handling, even when wet or gloved. Extractors—not ejectors—mean brass stays put until you manually remove it, a design that favors reliability over speed.

The 3-chamber construction accepts standard 12-gauge loads, and the 18" barrels deliver a tight sight picture and quick swing in confined spaces. This is a shotgun that does one job well: get on target fast with a gun that won't let you down. No frills, no apologies, just the kind of straightforward design that works.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ammunition does the Citadel Coach 12ga accept?

The Coach handles standard 12-gauge shotgun ammunition. The 3" chamber accepts full magnum loads as well, giving you flexibility in shot selection.

Why choose an 18" barrel shotgun?

The 18" barrels keep the gun compact and maneuverable in vehicles, brush, and tight spaces—ideal for hunters working dense cover or shooters who need a quick-handling gun without sacrificing 12-gauge punch.

Is the trigger a double trigger or single trigger?

The Coach features a single trigger with an integrated barrel selector, so you control which barrel fires without changing your finger position—faster and more intuitive than traditional dual triggers.

What's the difference between extractors and ejectors?

This shotgun uses extractors, which pop the spent shells slightly out of the chamber so you can manually remove them. Ejectors automatically throw empties clear, but extractors are simpler, more reliable, and lighter—a deliberate choice on a working gun.
