CHRISTENSEN ARMS
The Christensen Arms Traverse 7mm Remington Magnum bolt-action rifle brings backcountry credibility to long-range hunting and precision shooting. Built around a lightweight, time-tested platform, the Traverse pairs a carbon fiber composite stock with a stainless steel action and Christensen Arms' signature carbon fiber-wrapped barrel—delivering the weight savings and rigidity serious hunters demand without compromise. This is a rifle engineered for mountain country and extended ranges, where every tenth of a pound matters and precision is non-negotiable.
The barrel starts with 416R stainless steel, then receives Christensen's aerograde carbon fiber wrap to reduce overall weight while maximizing stiffness. The barrel is hand-lapped, button-rifled, and free-floating for consistency shot after shot. A removable stainless steel side-baffle brake manages recoil without the blast of traditional designs. The action features a natural stainless finish, enlarged ejection port for reliability, and TriggerTech trigger—known throughout the precision community for clean, predictable breaks. Twin spiral fluted lugs and a nitride-treated bolt reduce friction and improve cycling, while the M16 extractor and dual ejectors (crucial for magnum calibers) ensure reliable feeding and ejection even under field conditions.
Handling comes through the Monte-Carlo carbon fiber composite stock with raised comb, full palm swell, and modified beavertail forearm—designed for both comfort and control. The stock features stainless steel pillars and spot bedding to anchor the action precisely. Four Picatinny rail slots on the foregrip give you mounting flexibility for tactical or traditional setups. Up top, a 0-MOA optic rail accepts modern scope systems without the guesswork of shimming. The internal magazine holds four rounds (three for the 7mm Magnum), and a hinged floor plate simplifies loading and unloading. Starting weight is 7.3 pounds—light enough for day-long climbs, stout enough to handle magnum recoil and longer shots. The Traverse is backed by Christensen Arms' Sub-MOA Guarantee, so you're buying proven accuracy.
If you hunt steep country, chase accuracy at distance, or simply refuse to carry an ounce more than you need, the Traverse 7mm Remington Magnum is worth serious consideration.

The free-floating design and hand-lapped construction ensure consistent accuracy regardless.
Yes. The stainless steel side-baffle brake is removable, giving you the option to run the rifle bare if you prefer or swap it for another muzzle device that suits your needs.
Christensen Arms guarantees that this rifle will shoot sub-MOA (minute of angle) accuracy—meaning groups of 1 inch or less at 100 yards with quality ammunition. This reflects the precision engineering of the barrel, action, and bedding system.
The Traverse features a 0-MOA Picatinny rail on the action, designed to work with modern scope mounting systems. There is no factory-installed scope; the rail is ready for your choice of optic. A bottom Picatinny rail with four mounting slots provides additional accessory flexibility.
