CHRISTENSEN ARMS
The Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT in 7mm-08 with a 20-inch barrel is purpose-built for hunters who refuse to compromise between precision and pack weight. This lightweight rifle pairs a carbon fiber-wrapped 416R stainless steel barrel with Christensen Arms' FFT carbon fiber stock to deliver genuine field-ready performance without the fatigue that comes from lugging heavy iron all day. The 7mm-08 is a proven, efficient cartridge—plenty of power for medium game, low recoil, and manageable ammo costs—making this Ridgeline an intelligent choice for backcountry hunts where every ounce matters.
The action centers on a Christensen Arms precision-machined receiver paired with a TriggerTech trigger, giving you the accuracy foundation that counts. The barrel is button rifled, match-chambered, hand-lapped, and free-floating—the kind of bore work that shows up downrange. A removable stainless steel side baffle brake tames recoil and muzzle rise, though you can unscrew it if you prefer a quieter profile. The enlarged bolt knob and spiral fluting speed up manual operation, while the improved bolt release and enlarged ejection port reduce fumbling when seconds count.
Ergonomics and modularity round out the package. The FFT carbon fiber stock features spot bedding and carbon fiber bedding pillars for consistent contact, and includes a recoil pad to manage impulse. An internal magazine with aluminum hinged floor plate ships standard; if you want to run AICS detachable magazines, an aftermarket conversion kit makes that swap straightforward. The receiver is drilled and tapped for standard Remington 700 optics bases, keeping your mounting options wide open. Whether you're glassing ridge lines in elk country or working closer-range timber, the Ridgeline FFT brings match-grade accuracy to a practical, packable form.
