Charter Arms
The Charter Arms Boomer 2" .44 Special revolver is a compact, hard-hitting wheelgun built for shooters who want serious stopping power in a package you can actually carry. Built on a large frame, this five-shot .44 Special delivers the kind of energy that commands respect—without the bulk of a full-size magnum. The 2-inch ported barrel tames recoil, making follow-up shots faster and more controllable, while the tapered design keeps the profile as compact as possible for concealed carry and quick deployment.
The Boomer's no-nonsense design cuts away anything that doesn't serve its mission: the snag-free configuration with no front sight means faster draw and one less thing to catch on your holster or clothing. Full rubber combat grips provide a secure, recoil-absorbing hold, and the double-action-only (DAO) hammer design ensures consistent, safe operation in high-stress situations. At just 20 ounces, this is a gun you'll actually carry—not one that stays home because it's too heavy.
The matte finish delivers a low-profile look that won't reflect light, and the nitride treatment keeps the gun corrosion-resistant in tough field conditions. Whether you're looking for a bedside backup, a deep-carry pocket revolver, or a hunting sidearm for dangerous game country, the Boomer packs lethal authority into a frame you can control.

Yes. The Boomer was designed with concealment in mind. Its compact 2-inch barrel, lightweight 20-ounce construction, and snag-free profile make it well-suited for carry in a holster or waistband—though choosing the right holster and carry method for your body and wardrobe is always key.
The ported barrel vents gases to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise, which helps you get faster, more accurate follow-up shots. This is especially valuable in a snappy .44 Special in a lightweight platform.
The absence of a front sight eliminates a potential snag point during a defensive draw and speeds up weapon deployment from concealment. It's a deliberate design choice for carry guns where speed and draw reliability matter more than target acquisition aids.
The Boomer is specifically engineered as a compact carry revolver on a large frame. The 2-inch ported barrel, DAO trigger, and snag-free design all prioritize rapid deployment and controllability for defensive use, setting it apart from traditional target or hunting .44s.
