The Century Arms Mini Draco is a semi-automatic AK-pattern pistol chambered in 7.62x39mm, built on a proven platform that's been refined through decades of real-world use. This is a compact, no-nonsense firearm for shooters who want the iconic AK operating system in a handheld package—whether you're looking to run drills at the range, plink steel, or explore what makes this cartridge fun in a short-barreled format. The blued steel finish gives it a classic appearance while the 7.75-inch barrel keeps the overall length manageable at 17.5 inches, making it straightforward to handle and transport.
The Mini Draco chambers one of the most forgiving and affordable rifle cartridges available, opening up possibilities beyond typical pistol shooting. Its 1:10 twist barrel is optimized for standard 7.62x39mm ammunition, and the 30-round capacity means you're carrying serious magazine-fed firepower in a platform that feels almost like a rifle's controls and ergonomics compressed into pistol form. At 5.6 pounds, it's substantial enough to manage recoil without being burdensome. This is the kind of gun that makes you smile when you shoot it—not because it's gimmicky, but because it works exactly as intended.
Century Arms has a long track record importing and manufacturing AK variants, and the Mini Draco carries that reliability into an unusual form factor. It's not a gun that pretends to be something else; it's a purpose-built short-action rifle cartridge pistol that delivers on that promise. If you've ever wondered what a real AK pistol feels like to shoot, or if you're after a capable, different platform for your next range session, the Mini Draco deserves serious consideration.

Yes. The Mini Draco uses the proven AK semi-automatic action and has been manufactured and imported by Century Arms for years. It's designed to handle repeated shooting and standard maintenance like any other AK-pattern firearm.
At 5.6 pounds with a 7.75-inch barrel, recoil is present but moderate. The AK's gas tube operating system distributes impulse evenly, and the weight of the gun helps mitigate felt recoil. Most shooters find the Mini Draco perfectly manageable for range work and recreational shooting.
