Century Arms
The Century Arms AP51 7.62x51 NATO pistol is a semi-automatic, roller-lock delayed blowback design built for shooters who want rifle-caliber power in a compact, maneuverable platform. Based on the proven HK51 PDW lineage and manufactured in Turkey to NATO environmental standards, the AP51 delivers the ballistics and reliability of full-power rifle ammunition in a package that handles like a pistol. At 23.3 inches overall with an 8.3-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, it strikes a practical balance between velocity and ergonomic control—ideal for home defense, close-quarters shooting, or anyone exploring what a purpose-built short-barreled rifle alternative can do.
The AP51 ships with a Magpul BTR brace, two 20-round G3-pattern polymer magazines, and a bird cage-style flash hider. The receiver is stamped steel, the handguard is wide and MP5-compatible, and controls are arranged for ambidextrous operation—selector lever, charging handle, and safety all accessible from either side. At 7.9 pounds unloaded, it's substantial enough to manage recoil in the 7.62x51 NATO round but light enough to handle for extended periods. Fixed front sights pair with fully adjustable rear sights, giving you a battle-proven sight picture right out of the box.
This isn't a precision target gun or a hunting rifle in the traditional sense—it's a specialized tool for shooters who need rifle-caliber performance from a pistol-sized frame, or who appreciate the engineering heritage of the HK platform at a price that makes ownership accessible. Military-grade design language, proven action type, and honest ergonomics make the AP51 a straightforward choice for those who value function over flash.
