CCI
CCI shotshell ammunition in .22 LR offers a practical, low-recoil way to handle pests and varmints at close range. These 31-grain #12 shot rounds pack enough pattern density to be effective on small targets without the blast of larger shotgun loads. If you're working around barns, gardens, or outbuildings where noise and safety matter, a .22 LR shotshell lets you solve pest problems on your own property with less impact on neighbors and livestock. The #12 shot pellets are small and contained in a standard rimfire casing, making this a versatile option for anyone who owns a .22 rifle or handgun rated for shotshell ammunition.
Each box contains 20 rounds, giving you enough ammunition for pest control jobs without excessive inventory. CCI has built a solid reputation for reliability in rimfire ammunition, and their shotshell line extends that track record into a niche that major ammunition makers often overlook. Whether you're managing ground squirrels, rats, or other small varmints, these loads deliver consistent patterns at the distances where a shotshell makes sense—typically 15 to 25 yards. The relatively light recoil means you can shoot more rounds comfortably and stay on target.
Before you buy, confirm your firearm is rated for shotshell ammunition; not all .22 rifles and handguns handle them safely. Check your owner's manual or contact the manufacturer if you're unsure. Once you've verified compatibility, keep these rounds on hand as a quieter, more controlled alternative to full-power .22 Long Rifle loads when pests are the target.
| Caliber | .22 Long Rifle (.22 LR) |
| Projectile Type | #12 shot pellets |
| Projectile Weight | 31 grains |
| Rounds Per Box | 20 |

Not all .22 firearms are rated for shotshell ammunition. Check your owner's manual or contact the manufacturer to confirm compatibility before purchasing. Some rifles and handguns are specifically designed to handle them; others are not.
Shotshells work best at close range, typically 15 to 25 yards, where the #12 shot pattern is tight enough to hit small targets reliably. Beyond that, pellet spread becomes too wide for consistent pest control.
These loads are designed for pest and varmint control—ground squirrels, rats, and other small animals—in situations where low recoil, reduced noise, and confined shot patterns are advantages. They can also be used for casual plinking.
Each box contains 20 rounds.
