Case
The Case 00245 Sod Buster Jr. is a classic compact pocket knife built for everyday carry and light utility work. With its traditional peach seed jig design and warm amber bone handle, this knife delivers the no-fuss reliability that Case has been known for since 1889. Whether you're a collector of vintage-style blades, a hunter who appreciates a lightweight backup knife, or someone who just needs a dependable cutter in your pocket, the Sod Buster Jr. is a purpose-built tool that won't let you down.
The peach seed configuration features a single primary blade with the compact profile that makes this knife easy to carry without bulk or weight. The jigged amber bone scales give it authentic character—this isn't a knife trying to look tactical or modern; it's honest American cutlery in a form that's been proven in the field for generations. The handle shape fits naturally in your hand for extended use, and the overall size keeps it inconspicuous on your belt or in your pocket.
Case knives are made in the USA and backed by decades of reputation. The Sod Buster Jr. model 00245 is an excellent entry point into Case's lineup if you're new to the brand, or a solid addition to a collection if you already know what quality American blade steel and hand-finished bone feel like in your hand.
The peach seed design is a traditional utility blade configuration with a single, versatile edge. It's well-suited for general-purpose cutting tasks like opening packages, light food prep, carving, and everyday camp or field work. The compact size makes it ideal as a backup knife or EDC blade.
Yes. The Sod Buster Jr.'s lightweight profile and reliable blade make it a practical secondary knife for hunters. Its small size means it won't add bulk to your pack or belt, and the traditional design and American-made construction offer the durability needed for field use.
Jigged amber bone refers to the handle material and finish. The bone scales feature a textured, jigged pattern that provides grip and visual character, while the amber tone gives the knife its warm, classic appearance. This traditional handle material is durable and develops character with use.
