Case
The Case 00161 Trapper folding knife is a go-to workhorse for hunters, anglers, and anyone who spends serious time in the field or on the trail. With two blade configurations—a 3.25" clip point and a 3.27" spey blade—this lightweight folder gives you versatile cutting geometry without the bulk. Both blades are made from chrome vanadium steel, a proven alloy that holds a decent edge and resists rust in tough conditions. The yellow synthetic handle is durable, easy to spot in tall grass or brush, and won't rot or swell like natural materials can. This is a knife designed by people who understand fieldwork: straightforward, reliable, and built to last.
Case's Trapper profile has been a field standard for generations—it's the kind of knife you grab without thinking twice because you know it'll handle whatever you need to cut. The twin-blade setup means you're carrying more capability than a single-blade folder, but the overall profile stays trim and pocketable. The clip point excels at detail work and piercing cuts, while the spey blade handles slicing and camp tasks with authority. Chrome vanadium steel doesn't demand the fussy maintenance of premium stainless options; it's forgiving in wet conditions and easy to touch up with a simple steel.
Whether you're processing game in the field, preparing camp meals, repairing gear, or just need a solid utility blade on your hip, the Case 00161 Trapper delivers without fuss or fanfare. It's the kind of knife that works so well you forget you're carrying it—until you need it.

The clip point blade is ideal for piercing, detail cuts, and general utility work—its pointed design excels at precise tasks. The spey blade is a slicing blade with a curved edge that performs best for camp chores, food prep, and general cutting. Having both gives you flexibility without carrying two separate knives.
Yes. The dual-blade design and chrome vanadium steel make the Case 00161 well-suited to field use, including processing game. The clip point and spey configurations handle both detail work and broader cutting tasks you'll encounter in the field.
Chrome vanadium steel is tougher and easier to sharpen than many stainless alloys, and it's forgiving in wet or salty environments. It does require occasional wiping and light maintenance, but it won't let you down, and field touch-ups are straightforward with a simple steel or stone.
The bright yellow finish is specifically chosen for visibility in brush, grass, and outdoor conditions—it's much easier to spot than traditional brown or black handles when searching the ground or tall cover.
