CARLSON'S
Waterfowl hunters know that pattern consistency separates a successful day from an empty blind. The Carlson's Extended Complete Waterfowl Choke Tube Set gives you three precision-engineered tubes designed specifically for tighter, denser shot patterns on ducks and geese. Built from 1704 stainless steel, each tube features an extended parallel section—25% longer than conventional designs—that produces more uniform patterns downrange and shot-to-shot consistency. The set comes ready to pattern, laser-marked with constriction and size on both the end and body so you know exactly what you're throwing in the field.
These tubes handle steel shot exceptionally well, which makes them ideal for waterfowl applications where non-toxic loads are required or preferred. The extended design also means better performance with the specific ammunition you'll be running. Just remember to pattern your shotgun with the exact shells you plan to hunt with—different brands shoot different, even through the same choke. And don't forget the practical details: knurled ends make field removal easy without tools, and the included case keeps everything organized in your truck or blind.
A few hard rules to follow: keep steel shot at BB or smaller, and don't exceed 1550 FPS velocity through Full or Extra Full constrictions. Slugs—whether saboted or rifled—have no business in anything tighter than Improved Cylinder. Respect those limits and these tubes will serve you reliably for years, backed by Carlson's lifetime warranty.

Yes. These tubes are designed to handle steel shot with excellent results. Keep shot size at BB or smaller, and do not exceed 1550 FPS velocity when shooting Full or Extra Full constrictions. This makes them well-suited for waterfowl hunting where steel shot is required.
No slugs—whether saboted or rifled—should be used in any constriction tighter than Improved Cylinder. Respect that limit to avoid damage and ensure safe operation.
Different ammunition brands throw different patterns, even through the same choke. Pattern your shotgun with the specific shells you plan to use in the field so you know exactly how your gun will perform on game.
