CARLSON'S
Carlson's 12 gauge snap cap dummy rounds are essential training tools for shotgun shooters who want to practice reloads, work through malfunction drills, or reduce flinching without firing live ammunition. This 2-pack of weighted snap caps (Model 00103) feels and handles like genuine shotgun rounds, making them ideal for competitive shooters in 3-Gun events, casual range training, or self-defense skill development. The spring-loaded striking area cushions firing pin impact, protecting both your shotgun's internals and the snap caps themselves during repeated dry-fire practice.
Built to true SAAMI specifications and precision-machined for reliability, these dummy rounds feature primer material engineered to the correct hardness—preventing firing pin over-protrusion that can cause damage over time. The aluminum construction won't ding chambers, extractors, or ejectors, and using snap caps helps preserve your shotgun's mainspring by eliminating the wear caused by repeated dry-firing on empty chambers. Whether you're diagnosing malfunctions quickly for competition, teaching new shooters proper technique, or building muscle memory with your home-defense shotgun, snap caps are a low-cost, reusable alternative to live rounds.
Two snap caps per pack is a practical starter set, though shooters with multiple magazines or those running serious malfunction-clearing drills often keep several packs on hand. They're compatible with standard 12 gauge shotguns and integrate seamlessly into dry-fire training routines.
