The Carlsons 50102 Winchester flush choke tube in 20-gauge Improved Cylinder is a precision-engineered replacement choke built for Winchester shotguns that shoot steel, lead, and premium shot types. If you run a Winchester pump or semi-auto and want the versatility of a flush-mount choke that patterns cleanly without the snag of a protruding tube, this stainless steel option delivers the restraint you need for close- to mid-range shooting—whether you're swinging on birds over water or working a field. Machined from 17-4 heat-treated stainless steel and made in the USA, it's built to outlast the gun.
Improved Cylinder chokes strike the practical middle ground: tighter than a Cylinder bore for better shot string integrity, but open enough to let pellets spread naturally at hunting distances. This constriction works well for upland game, waterfowl, and clay shooting where you're not betting everything on a super-tight pattern. Because it's flush-mounted, you get the aerodynamic profile and snag-free handling of a gun that looks clean and points fast—no extended tubes catching on brush or clothes.
The 20-gauge shotgun is the thinking person's bird gun: lighter recoil than a 12, less ammo cost, and plenty of downrange authority when you shoot quality shells and chokes that matter. Carlsons backs this choke with a lifetime warranty, so once you thread it in, you own a permanent part of your gun's accuracy equation.

The Carlsons 50102 is designed for Winchester shotguns with flush-mount choke compatibility. Note: Winchester SX-2, SX-3, SX-4, and SXP models use Browning Invector Plus tubes, so verify your gun's choke system before ordering. Different Winchester models may use different choke styles, so confirm your shotgun's spec first.
Yes. This choke accepts steel shot, lead, and Hevi-Shot. However, do not use steel shot larger than #BB, and keep velocities below 1550 fps when shooting chokes tighter than Full constriction. Since this is Improved Cylinder, those restrictions are less limiting, but always follow ammo and choke manufacturer guidelines.
Improved Cylinder is moderately open, tighter than a Cylinder choke but more open than Modified or Full. It delivers a balanced shot pattern for upland game, waterfowl, and clay targets at typical hunting ranges, without over-choking and losing pellet spread when you need it most.
Yes. Carlsons manufactures this choke in the USA and backs it with a lifetime warranty, so you're investing in a domestic product with real support behind it.
