Caldwell
The Caldwell AR500 1/4" Rimfire/Handgun 8" Steel Shooting Gong is a purpose-built steel target designed for shooters working with rimfire rifles and non-magnum handgun cartridges. Laser-cut from certified AR500 steel and finished in high-visibility yellow, this 8-inch gong delivers audible, reactive feedback on every hit—even from lower-velocity rimfire rounds. The 1/4-inch thickness keeps weight down compared to centerfire-rated steel plates, so you get satisfying movement and a clear ring without the bulk, making it ideal for recreational shooting, training drills, and skill refinement at the range.
Build quality matters when you're shooting steel repeatedly, and Caldwell backs this target with a lifetime guarantee. The certified AR500 steel construction is engineered to withstand tens of thousands of rounds from rimfire and handgun calibers without fracturing or cracking. The durable powder-coat finish resists rust and keeps the target visible downrange, whether you're shooting in bright sun or overcast conditions. A 1/2-inch bolt hole lets you mount it securely to any Caldwell target hanger system, so you can set up quickly and start shooting.
Whether you're zeroing a .22 rifle, drilling handgun accuracy at 7 or 15 yards, or just enjoying the tactile feedback of ringing steel, this gong gives you real-time confirmation of your hits. It's the kind of target that turns practice into engagement—no guessing, no walk downrange, just instant audio-visual feedback that tells you what your shot did.
