Caldwell
The Caldwell AR500 Rimfire KYL Challenge Target is a steel shooting game designed to push your accuracy and consistency from shot to shot. Built around eight progressively smaller targets—ranging from 2 inches down to a quarter-inch—this system rewards precision and penalizes misses with real stakes: hit the next target and keep your score climbing; miss and you're back to zero. It's an honest way to discover your actual limits and compete fairly against friends and family at the range.
Constructed from certified AR500 steel, the target system handles unlimited impacts from any rimfire cartridge, including 22 Magnum and 17 HMR. The bright yellow powder coat keeps target sights sharp regardless of background, while the built-in collapsible steel frame (half-inch diameter tubing with polyurethane joints) breaks down quickly for transport and storage. This is the kind of target that earns its name: you use it to know your limits, and it lasts long enough to teach you several times over.
KYL (Know Your Limits) competition is straightforward and addictive. Start at the largest target, move up in diameter as you hit, and reset to the smallest target once you miss. Rack up points, measure your skill tier against competitors, and repeat until you're confident in your effective range. Whether you're tuning a new rimfire rifle or sharpening your 22 Magnum hunting accuracy, this target rewards deliberate shooting and honest self-assessment.

KYL stands for "Know Your Limits." The traditional format: start at the largest target and earn a point for each hit as you work your way down to smaller targets. If you miss any target, your score resets to zero and you start over. It's a competitive format that rewards consistency and tests your ability to shoot under pressure—perfect for match play with friends.
Yes. The frame uses collapsible steel tubing with durable polyurethane joints, allowing it to set up quickly at the range and break down for easy storage and transport in a truck bed or range bag.
A high-visibility yellow powder coat protects the AR500 steel from rust and corrosion while making the target easy to spot downrange in most lighting and terrain conditions.
