The Caldwell XLA HD TAC is a heavy-duty rifle bipod built for precision shooters who demand reliability under serious field conditions. Unlike lighter designs that struggle with magnum rifles and rough terrain, this 6"-9" adjustable bipod uses improved frame geometry and heavier gauge materials to deliver over 300% greater strength than comparable bipods. Whether you're shooting prone from a bench, working off a barricade, or taking long-range shots in variable conditions, the XLA HD TAC is engineered to stay locked and level when it counts.
Deployment is fast and intuitive: pull the legs down to one of the preset height notches, then release with a push-button spring retraction when you're done. The pivoting frame delivers 20 degrees of cant adjustment—essential for shooting on uneven ground or slope—with a quick tensioning lever to lock the pivot solid once you've found level. The non-slip rubber feet grip whatever surface you're on, and aftermarket feet options are available if you need to swap them for specialty applications.
Mount versatility makes it easy to attach to modern rifles: the XLA HD TAC comes ready for Picatinny and Arca rails, so it fits without adapters on most tactical and precision platforms. The 6"-9" height range hits the sweet spot for bench work, prone shooting, and barricade use—neither too short nor so tall that you're fighting awkward angles. If you run a heavy rifle and refuse to compromise on stability, this is the bipod that won't fold under the load.
