The Burris 626062 Medium Slip-On Black Scope Cover for 48mm Objective is a straightforward protection solution for mid-sized rifle scopes. If you're serious about maintaining optics—whether they're sitting in the safe between seasons or bouncing in a pack on the mountain—a quality cover is a small investment that pays dividends in longevity. This medium-size cover is sized to fit scopes with objective bells between 10.5 and 13 inches and designed for 48mm objectives, making it a natural fit for many popular hunting and precision rifle platforms.

What makes this cover stand out is its dual-purpose design: it's waterproof to shed rain and snow, but also breathable, so moisture trapped against your glass can escape rather than pool and promote fogging or corrosion. You're looking at genuine protection without the condensation headaches. The soft fabric exterior won't scratch your lens coatings or tube finish, and it guards against dust, dirt, and the dings that come from field use.

Whether you're storing your rifle long-term or just capping your scope between shooting sessions, this slip-on cover works quietly in the background. No fuss, no moving parts—just reliable barrier between your optics and the elements. For hunters, range shooters, and anyone who wants their scope in the same condition next season as it was this one, this is practical, no-nonsense gear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this scope cover fit my rifle scope?

The Burris 626062 Medium is sized for scopes with 48mm objective lenses and objective bells between 10.5 and 13 inches long. Measure your scope's objective bell diameter and length to confirm fit. Burris also offers Small (39mm) and Large (61mm) versions if this medium size isn't right for your optic.

Does this cover trap moisture and cause fogging?

No. The breathable fabric allows moisture to escape, which prevents condensation from building up against your lens and tube. That's the advantage over solid, non-breathable covers—you get waterproof protection without the fog trap.

Can I leave this on during storage for months or years?

Yes, that's exactly what it's designed for. The breathable, waterproof construction is ideal for long-term storage in safes, cases, or gear bags. It protects your scope from dust and corrosion without creating a moisture problem.

Will the soft fabric scratch my scope's lens or finish?

No, the cover is made from soft fabric specifically chosen not to scratch scope coatings or tube finishes.
