The Bulldog BD420 Extreme Tactical Rifle Case is a 45-inch soft rifle case built to protect your rifle and gear during transport, storage, and field use. Designed for hunters, range shooters, and tactical users who need reliable protection without the weight and bulk of a hard case, the BD420 pairs water-resistant construction with thoughtful storage features that keep your rifle and accessories organized and ready.

The outer shell is heavy-duty water-resistant Tetron nylon—durable enough to shed moisture and resist the wear of truck beds, ATV racks, and backcountry travel—while the brushed Tricot inner lining protects your rifle's finish from scratches. The full 2-1/4 inches of soft padding cushions against bumps, and the full-length zipper with pull tab makes loading and unloading quick. A removable, adjustable shoulder strap with swivels lets you carry hands-free when needed.

Four external Velcro magazine pouches keep loaded mags, tools, cleaning supplies, or ammo within arm's reach, and a dedicated zippered accessory pocket handles smaller items. Double-stitched seams at stress points ensure the case holds up to repeated use. Note that the case's internal usable length is approximately 2 inches less than the stated 45-inch external dimension, so measure your rifle accordingly. Whether you're heading to the range, a hunting trip, or storing gear at home, the BD420 delivers practical protection and organization in a lightweight, easy-to-carry package.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the actual interior length for my rifle?

The BD420 has a 45-inch external dimension, but you should deduct approximately 2 inches for the actual usable interior space where your rifle will fit. This accounts for the padding and construction. Measure your rifle's length before ordering to ensure it will fit comfortably.

Is this case waterproof or just water-resistant?

The BD420 features a water-resistant Tetron nylon shell, which means it sheds moisture and resists water damage in normal outdoor conditions. It's not fully waterproof, so it's best suited for protecting against rain and occasional splashes rather than full submersion.

Can I carry this case on my shoulder?

Yes. The BD420 includes a removable, adjustable shoulder strap with swivel mounts that allows comfortable over-the-shoulder carry. You can remove the strap if you prefer to use handles or place the case in a vehicle.

What comes with the case besides the rifle compartment?

The case includes four external Velcro magazine pouches for carrying loaded mags or small gear, plus a dedicated zippered accessory pocket for tools, cleaning supplies, or other items. The shoulder strap is removable and adjustable with swivel mounts.
