Buckeye Baits
The Buckeye Su-Spin Single 1/2oz Arkansas Shiner is a compact underspin jig head designed for bass and pike anglers who need to generate reaction bites in cold water or challenging conditions. The single willow leaf blade spins freely on even the gentlest retrieve, creating vibration and flash that draw fish from distance—making it especially useful when traditional presentations fall short. Whether you're fishing early spring, late fall, or dealing with a tough bite, this underspin gives you another tool to coax strikes from pressured or inactive fish.
The Arkansas Shiner color mimics baitfish in many freshwater systems, working across a range of conditions from stained water to bright sun. The 1/2oz weight sits in the sweet spot for shallow to mid-depth presentations and pairs naturally with soft plastics in the 3- to 5-inch range—but you can also dress it with a skirt for a flashier, more traditional jig appearance. It casts cleanly and falls at a controlled rate, giving you precision in cover without hanging up constantly.
Underspin jigs are a proven cold-weather weapon and a confidence builder when bass or pike stop responding to standard presentations. The Buckeye Su-Spin's simple, effective design keeps the focus on the blade action and your plastic choice, so you can dial in exactly what the fish want on any given day.

Underspin jigs excel in cold water and tough bite conditions when fish are inactive or pressured. They're also effective in spring and fall transitions and work across shallow to moderate depths, especially around structure and cover.
Yes. The Su-Spin can be dressed with a skirt for a more traditional jig appearance and added bulk, giving you flexibility in how you present it based on water clarity and target species.
The underspin design and Arkansas Shiner color make it an excellent choice for bass and pike, though it will catch other freshwater species responsive to blade vibration and natural baitfish imitation.
