Buckeye Baits
The Buckeye Magnum Spot Remover is a 1/2oz jig head designed to put spotted bass, deepwater largemouth, and smallmouth in the boat. Built on a Gamakatsu Long Shank Hook—known for holding up under heavy use—this jig delivers the durability serious anglers expect when fishing structure and cover. The flat head profile lets you rig soft plastics in a way that makes them stand up naturally in the water, creating the kind of lifelike presentation that triggers bites from wary bass.
What sets the Spot Remover apart is its screw lock keeper system instead of a traditional post. That design choice means you get precise, repeatable rigging every time and can swap plastics quickly without fumbling on the water. Whether you're dragging craws across deep ledges, working worms through grass, or pitching to timber, the screw lock gives you confidence in your setup so you can focus on the bite.
This is a workhorse jig head for anglers who fish serious depths and demand gear that won't let them down. The black finish blends naturally in clear to stained water, and the 1/2oz weight handles wind and current while staying in the strike zone longer—exactly what you need when bass are holding deep or relating to structure.
| Weight | 1/2 oz |
| Color | Black |
| Hook Type | Gamakatsu Long Shank |
| Keeper Style | Screw Lock |
| Head Style | Flat |
The flat head design and screw lock keeper are optimized for craws and worms, which stand on end when rigged. That upright presentation is what makes this jig particularly effective for spotted bass and deepwater largemouth and smallmouth.
The screw lock keeper offers more precise control during rigging and makes it easier to swap soft plastics on the water without damaging your trailer. You get a secure hold every time without the guesswork.
The 1/2oz weight and Gamakatsu Long Shank Hook make this jig well-suited for deepwater applications and situations where you're fishing structure like ledges, timber, and heavy cover. The black finish works across clear to stained water conditions.
