Browning
The Browning Silver Field Micro Midas 20-gauge semi-auto shotgun is built for shooters who value a nimble, responsive gun that doesn't sacrifice reliability or style. Built on a lightweight aluminum-alloy receiver with a distinctive two-tone silver and matte black finish, this 20ga autoloader combines gas-operated convenience with genuine field performance. The Micro Midas designation tells you what you need to know: this is a trim, easy-to-swing gun designed for smaller frames and younger hunters, but one that handles everything from light to heavy loads without flinching or excessive recoil.
Gas-operated shotguns live or die by their reliability, and Browning's Active Valve System is the heart of this one. It meters gas pressure intelligently, letting you shoot light field loads and heavy magnums from the same gun without beating yourself senseless. That matters on a long day in the dove field or duck blind. The 26-inch barrel wears a lightweight profile and fully ventilated rib topped with a brass front bead—classical shotgun geometry that helps you point naturally. Three choke tubes (Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder) ship with the gun, letting you tailor your pattern to whatever's in season.
Handling and comfort matter just as much as function. The stock is satin-finish Turkish walnut with 18 LPI checkering, giving you authentic grip texture without looking overdone. A small Inflex recoil pad with hard heel insert soaks up what the gas system doesn't, and at just under 6 pounds 2 ounces, this gun swings like it weighs nothing. The overall length is 45¾ inches with a 13-inch length of pull—proportioned for the smaller or youth shooter. Chrome-plated chamber, gold-plated trigger, and a Buck Mark engraved trigger guard round out details that say this shotgun isn't a budget compromise—it's a complete gun sized right.
Whether you're introducing someone to shotgun hunting or you simply prefer a lighter, faster-handling 20ga, the Silver Field Micro Midas delivers the gas-gun convenience and finish quality Browning is known for in a package that actually fits.
