Browning
The Browning Maxus II is a gas-operated autoloading shotgun built for upland hunting and sporting clays. This 12-gauge model features a 28-inch barrel, walnut furniture, and a nickel-plated receiver with brushed accents—a refined choice for hunters who want reliable performance without sacrificing aesthetics. The Maxus II combines Browning's proven Power Drive gas system with thoughtful handling features and adjustability, making it a practical companion for a full season afield.
What sets the Maxus II apart is its balance of comfort and function. The Turkish walnut stock wears an oil finish and includes a shim-adjustment system for length of pull, cast, and drop—so you can dial in the fit to your frame. The SoftFlex cheekpad absorbs recoil and helps you maintain a solid sight picture, while the close-radius grip feels natural whether you're swinging on fast-flushing birds or breaking clays. Browning included a fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead to make target acquisition instinctive in varied light.
Under the hood, you get the reliability that built Browning's reputation. The chrome-chamber and back-bored barrel, Lightning Trigger, and oversize bolt handle combine into a gun that handles quickly and shoots straight. The magazine cut-off lets you top up mid-hunt, and the included Inflex II recoil pad keeps shooting comfortable all day. Three Invector-Plus choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder) ship in the box, ready for whatever you encounter.
This is a straightforward, well-appointed shotgun for hunters who value Browning's engineering and don't need unnecessary gadgetry. An ABS hard case is included for safe transport and storage.
