Browning
The Browning Maxus II is a gas-operated autoloading shotgun built for serious waterfowlers and upland hunters who demand a reliable semi-auto that handles extended hunts without flinching. This 12-gauge, 3½-inch model pairs proven Browning engineering with practical features that matter in the field: a full Woodland camouflage finish that works across varied terrain, a composite stock with SoftFlex cheek pad for all-day shooting comfort, and an Inflex II Recoil Pad that takes the sting out of heavy loads. The 26-inch barrel keeps the gun nimble in brush and tight blinds while maintaining the shot-string control serious hunters expect.
Browning engineered the Maxus II to run hard and last. The bolt, bolt slide, shell carrier, bolt release, and bolt handle all wear a Nickel Teflon coating that resists corrosion and reduces friction—critical when you're cycling shells in wet conditions or dealing with salty air. The chrome-lined chamber and bore add another layer of durability, protecting the gun against the corrosive elements that come with season-long use. Composite construction with rubber overmolding on the stock and forearm gives you a secure grip whether your hands are wet, cold, or gloved.
The Maxus II ships with three extended Invector-Plus choke tubes—Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder—so you can fine-tune your pattern for ducks, geese, or upland birds right out of the box. A fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead help you track moving targets in low light. The composite stock is fully adjustable for cast, drop, and length of pull (and can be trimmed if needed), meaning you can dial in a custom fit without a gunsmith. Oversize controls make manipulation faster and easier, especially important when you're wearing heavy gear or gloves. The package includes a quality hard case for transport and storage.
Whether you're hunting from a layout blind at dawn or working the timber in October, the Maxus II delivers the reliability, comfort, and adjustability that keep you focused on the birds—not the gun.
