The Browning Citori 725 Field 20-gauge over/under shotgun is a refined, modern take on a classic platform that's earned its reputation in the field and at the clay range. Built around Browning's signature low-profile receiver design, the 725 delivers the responsive handling and pointability that make an over/under feel like a natural extension of your swing—whether you're hunting upland birds, passing waterfowl, or breaking clays. The 26-inch barrels and 3-inch chamber give you versatility across game and load choices without excess length or weight.

What separates the 725 from the rest of the over/under lineup is the engineering underneath. Browning kept the full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design that's made Citori shotguns legendary for durability, then lowered the receiver profile to improve sight picture and gun mount. The mechanical trigger (FireLite) is tuned for a crisp, lighter pull than traditional designs, and the Inflex recoil pad absorbs impact more effectively so you can shoot longer without fatigue. Invector-DS chokes give you flexibility to dial in the right shot spread for the situation, and the Grade II/III checkered walnut with gloss oil finish strikes that balance between tradition and contemporary styling.

This is a workhorse that doesn't apologize for its heritage. The 725 Field respects the lineage of Browning's B25 Superposed while adding the modern ergonomics and materials you expect from a shotgun built today. If you've been considering an over/under but weren't sure which one to trust, this is the gun that's set the standard for a reason.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Citori 725 and other over/under shotguns?

The 725 features a significantly lower profile receiver than traditional over/under designs, which improves gun mount and sight picture without sacrificing the rugged durability Browning built into generations of Citori shotguns. The mechanical trigger, Inflex recoil pad, and updated Invector-DS choke system are engineered to deliver lighter, more responsive shooting with less recoil.

Is the Citori 725 Field good for hunting and clay shooting?

Yes. The 26-inch barrels and balanced receiver design make it equally at home in the field hunting upland game or at the clay range. The Inflex recoil pad and responsive trigger support extended shooting sessions either way, and the Invector-DS chokes let you adjust for the task at hand.

What chokes come with this shotgun?

The shotgun comes equipped with Invector-DS chokes, which allow you to customize your shot pattern for different hunting scenarios or clay presentations.

What size loads can this 20-gauge handle?

The 3-inch chamber accommodates both standard 2.75-inch and magnum 3-inch 20-gauge ammunition, giving you flexibility in ammunition selection.
