Brownells
The Brownells Wool Bore Mop 12 Gauge 12 Pack gives you a reliable, proven cleaning tool that serious shotgun owners have relied on for years. Wool is simply better at absorbing and holding bore cleaner and oil than synthetic alternatives—it gets both ends of the barrel thoroughly saturated so you're not dry-patching your way through a cleaning session. Each mop has natural spring and flex, which means it conforms readily to the bore without requiring a ton of pressure or awkward angles to get full contact with the walls.
The brass shank and coupling on these mops are looped and twisted in a way that eliminates sharp edges; that matters because your bore is precision-made and one careless cleaning tool can leave marks. A 12-pack gives you enough mops to keep one in your cleaning kit, rotate through a few in the field, and not sweat running out mid-season. Whether you're breaking in a new shotgun, performing routine post-hunt maintenance, or deep-cleaning between seasons, having the right mop on hand speeds up the job and keeps your barrels in top condition.
These are consumable items—wool mops eventually wear out with use—so buying in bulk makes sense if you shoot regularly. Pair them with your preferred bore cleaner or gun oil and a good cleaning rod, and you've got the foundation of a solid shotgun maintenance routine.

Yes. These wool bore mops are sized for 12 gauge bore cleaning and fit standard 12 gauge cleaning rod jags.
Wool naturally holds more cleaner and oil than synthetics, which means better saturation of the bore with fewer passes. The natural spring of the fibers also allows the mop to conform to the bore shape without excessive pressure.
No. The brass shank and coupling are specifically designed with a looped and twisted configuration to prevent scratching the bore.
Mops are consumable items and will eventually wear with use. A 12-pack ensures you have replacements on hand for regular cleaning sessions throughout the season.
