Brownells
If you've gone all-in on the RMR red dot for your Browning RMR slide but want to keep your iron sights as a backup, you'll eventually face the choice: carry both, or swap optics when you need them? The Brownells Slide Cover Plate for Browning RMR Slides offers a cleaner third option—a protective aluminum cover that lets you remove your RMR and still present a finished, professional slide when you're running irons. It's a smart move for shooters who want flexibility without constantly swapping hardware or leaving a bare footprint exposed to dust and wear.
This cover plate is machined from lightweight aluminum and finished in anodized black, so it matches your slide and withstands daily handling. Installation is straightforward: the plate uses the same fasteners that came with your Browning RMR slide, meaning you likely have the hardware on hand already. It's worth noting that this cover plate is designed specifically for Browning RMR slides and doesn't accommodate the recoil bosses, so fitment is tailored to that platform.
Whether you're a duty shooter keeping options open, a competition operator managing different sight setups for different matches, or simply someone who prefers to protect that costly red dot footprint when you're not running glass, this aluminum plate fills a real gap. It's a detail that separates a well-rounded setup from a half-finished one.
