Building a modern Glock 19 around a red dot sight used to mean sending your slide out to a gunsmith. The Brownells Premium Window Slide for Glock 19 Gen 1/3 with RMR cut eliminates that step, giving you a factory-finished, optic-ready upper that's ready to pair with your choice of internals, barrel, and sights. This is a stripped slide—just the housing—so you control every component that goes into your pistol. Whether you're upgrading a carry gun, assembling a dedicated range build, or swapping out a worn factory slide, this windowed option lets you do it right from the start.
The slide is machined from stainless steel and finished in black nitride, a proven coating that resists holster wear, corrosion, and the scuffs that come with regular training and carry. The RMR-compatible cut includes locating boss technology, so your red dot mounts securely without guesswork. Front and rear angled serrations give you confident purchase when manipulating the slide, and the window design lightens the profile while exposing the barrel for that custom, purpose-built appearance serious builders appreciate.
Gen 1/3 Glock 19 frame compatibility means this slide works with established builds and older guns that don't need the MOS option. Since it's stripped, you're free to select your own sights, recoil spring, firing pin, and extractor—letting you dial in exactly the performance and ergonomics your carry or duty setup demands. Brownells' reputation for quality QC backs this piece; it's built to cycle thousands of rounds without issue.

The slide is cut for RMR-pattern optics and uses locating boss technology to mount them securely. Other RMR-compatible sight patterns should work; if you have a specific optic in mind, confirm its mounting footprint matches the RMR standard.
No—this is a stripped slide only. You'll need to source a compatible Glock 19 Gen 1/3 frame, barrel, recoil spring assembly, firing pin, extractor, sights, and any other internal parts to build a complete pistol.
The window reduces overall weight and provides a custom appearance while exposing the barrel. If you prefer traditional looks and maximum durability without the visual contrast, a solid-top option may suit you better.
