Brownells
Keeping a muzzleloader bore clean between shots and after a range session is non-negotiable for accuracy and reliability. The Brownells Heavy Weight Brush for .58 caliber muzzleloaders is built specifically for the aggressive scrubbing that blackpowder fouling demands. This 12-pack gives you enough brushes for a full season of shooting, cleaning, and storage—so you always have a fresh one on hand and can dedicate spares to different solvents without cross-contamination.
The heavy-weight nylon bristles are stiff enough to cut through stubborn carbon and lead deposits without softening or breaking down when exposed to your preferred bore solvents. The bristles won't damage rifling or smoothbore surfaces, and the one-piece looped and wound brass shank resists scratching the bore walls as you work the brush in and out. The 8-32 male thread is the standard for most muzzleloader cleaning rod setups.
Whether you're doing a quick wipe between shots at the range or a thorough post-session deep clean, having a dedicated brush for your .58 bore—and a backup when the first one needs retirement—keeps your cleaning routine efficient and your gun ready to shoot. At 3.26 inches overall, it's sized right for the task without unnecessary bulk.
