Brownells
If you're a gunsmith, armorer, or serious DIY mechanic working on AR platforms and other firearms, the Brownells Armorer's Gen 3 Case without foam inserts is a heavy-duty mobile workshop that keeps your tools organized, protected, and ready to roll. This isn't a generic toolbox—it's engineered to military durability standards (STANAG 4280) and tested to survive drops, vibration, temperature swings, and moisture that would wreck ordinary storage. The polypropylene construction is waterproof, so your precision tools stay dry whether you're moving between ranges, shops, or field locations.
The Gen 3 design splits storage into five drawers: three tall bays (2.4 inches each) and two shallow ones (1.2 inches), plus a removable top tray. That mix handles everything from small springs and pins to longer components. Drawers pull free completely with a press of the tabs, and each one locks in place during transport so nothing rattles loose. Need to access a specific tool fast? Pop off the front door or top lid by turning a hinge screw—no complicated disassembly. The clear polymer interior lid panel lets you store documentation, spare parts, or extras without opening the case.
Mobility isn't an afterthought: dual side handles and a telescoping luggage handle sit atop two integral wheels, so you can roll a full case across the shop or load it into a truck bed without hernia risk. Stackable design means multiple cases nest together for clean workshop storage. Operating temp range of –27°F to 194°F keeps your tools safe in garage cold snaps and hot summers alike. This version ships without pluckable foam inserts, giving you a clean slate to customize your own organization—or add Brownells foam kits separately if you want that cushioning protection during transport.
