Keeping an AR-15 running reliably means staying on top of carbon buildup in places you can't easily reach with a brush or patch. The Breakthrough Clean Technologies AR-15 Carbon Removal Tool is a compact, purpose-built scraper designed to tackle stubborn carbon in the bolt carrier group, bolt, and firing pin—the tight spots where gunk accumulates fastest and causes malfunctions if left unchecked. Whether you shoot regularly at the range or in the field, this tool earns a permanent spot in your cleaning kit.

The design is straightforward and practical. A double-ended blade lets you attack carbon from different angles, while the ergonomic handle gives you a secure grip and enough leverage to scrape effectively without slipping. The blades retract into the handle with a push—pull the lever on the back to extend them until they click, press the button on top to collapse them flush again. That retraction feature keeps it safe to carry and protects your gear bag from accidental nicks.

Size and portability matter when you're running between stages or cleaning at home. This tool is compact enough to slip into a range bag, your AR cleaning kit, or a toolbox without taking up real estate. It's one of those small investments that prevents the larger headache of a fouled bolt or carrier group turning a shooting day into a troubleshooting session.
