Bravo Company
The Bravo Company BCMgunfighter Compensator Mod 5 for 5.56 is a purpose-built muzzle device designed to tame recoil and improve shooter control on modern AR-15s. Built on feedback from professional shooters and end-users, this closed-tine compensator uses strategically tuned ports to manage muzzle rise while keeping dust and debris signature low when shooting prone or from barricades—a real advantage when every shot counts.
This is an extended evolution of BCM's proven Mod 4 design, bringing a 2-inch profile to the platform. The compensator features a closed-tine design that eliminates ground-facing openings, which means less kick-up of dust and dirt cloud when you're shooting low. The carefully angled slots and ports work together to reduce both muzzle rise and flash signature while keeping side blast and noise characteristic of typical compensators in check. It's the kind of purposeful engineering that separates tools built for hard use from one-size-fits-all options.
Built from nitride-treated steel for corrosion resistance and longevity, the Mod 5 ships with a crush washer for installation. The compensator threads onto 1/2 x 28 pitch barrels common to 5.56mm AR platforms and includes a predrilled hole at the base for permanent pinning. When installed per BATF specifications on a 14.5-inch barrel, it extends your firearm to legal length without NFA paperwork. Installation should be handled by a qualified armorer to ensure proper function and safety.

The compensator ships with a crush washer for installation. A qualified armorer will handle mounting and proper timing.
The closed-tine design eliminates openings that face the ground, which significantly reduces the dust and debris signature kicked up when firing prone or from a barricade—a tactical advantage when you need to stay concealed or maintain visibility downrange.
