Allen Company
The Allen Bore-Nado 70586 is a 20 gauge shotgun cleaning tool designed to simplify barrel maintenance in the field or at the bench. Unlike traditional cleaning kits with loose rods and separate brush attachments, this single-rope system handles the job in one smooth stroke—just add your solvent of choice, pull from breech to muzzle, and repeat until clean. It's the kind of no-fuss solution that fits perfectly in a range bag or gun case when you need quick cleanup between shooting sessions or want to skip wrestling with interchangeable rod segments.
The Bore-Nado combines two cleaning actions in one pass. Weighted brass bore guides at the rope's end help you direct it straight through the barrel without fumbling, while vortex bristle technology—built-in copper brushes—agitates fouling and carbon deposits as the rope moves. A braided swab section follows behind to sweep away loosened debris, so you're not just pushing gunk around; you're actually removing it. For shooters who find traditional rod-and-brush kits tedious or who prefer a simpler maintenance routine, this design cuts out the fiddling.
This tool works well as a standalone quick-clean option or as part of a more thorough cleaning regimen. Twenty-gauge shooters often find barrel maintenance easier with purpose-built tools that match their bore diameter, and the Bore-Nado's single-rope design eliminates size mismatches and lost parts. Whether you're a competition shooter touching up between strings, a hunter ensuring your gun is ready, or someone who simply wants efficient upkeep, this is a straightforward, durable approach to keeping your 20 gauge in fighting shape.
