Bond Arms Inc.
The Bond Arms Cyclops Big Bore .45-70 pistol is a single-shot handgun built for shooters who appreciate raw power and unconventional firepower. Chambered in the legendary .45-70 Government cartridge, this Rough Series pistol delivers the kind of energy and stopping capability typically found in rifles—but in a handheld package. The 4.25-inch stainless steel barrel is bored as a single-shot design, adding weight and balance that contribute to a more comfortable shooting experience. This is a specialist's gun: perfect for hunters pursuing big game from close range, wilderness adventurers who want serious backup power, or shooters who simply want to experience one of the most potent handgun cartridges available.
Bond Arms engineered the Cyclops with practicality in mind despite its heavy-hitter reputation. The new B6 resin grips are proprietary to this series and are sized extended to fill your hand properly, reducing felt recoil and promoting control. Fixed sights keep things simple and reliable—no batteries, no moving parts to fail when you need them. The single-action trigger breaks at 7 pounds, providing a predictable release. At 28 ounces and 6.75 inches overall length, this is a manageable package given the .45-70's power, though it's not a deep-carry pistol; it's an open-carry or backup gun for specific hunting and wilderness scenarios.
The Cyclops ships with a holster, so you're equipped to carry it immediately. Bond Arms has signaled that other big-bore caliber options—including .44 Magnum and .50 AE—are planned for future releases, but this model is the current expression of their big-bore vision. If you're exploring beyond standard handgun cartridges and want authentic stopping power in an unconventional platform, the Cyclops invites serious consideration.
