Blakemore
The Blakemore Road Runner Marabou jig is a compact, versatile underspin designed for panfish hunters who want vibration and flash in shallow water. At 1/8 ounce, it's light enough to cast on light tackle and slow-sink through cover where crappie, bluegill, and other panfish hang out. The black-on-black finish blends into stained or darker water, making it effective in dawn, dusk, and overcast conditions when visibility matters. Each pack includes two jigs, so you've got a backup when you hang one or want to try a second rod.
What makes a Road Runner different is the spinner blade paired with the marabou body. The blade creates subtle vibration and flash that telegraphs movement to fish even when your retrieve is slow—crucial on days when panfish are sluggish. The marabou adds bulk and natural movement without the weight, so the jig stays in the strike zone longer during the fall. That combination of visual and vibrational trigger covers more bases than a plain soft-plastic jig or a blade alone.
Fish shallow timber, brush piles, dock pilings, and weed edges where crappie hold. The light weight means you can fish it on panfish rigs, ultralight spinning setups, or even light fly-weight gear. Pair it with a short, gentle jigging motion or a slow, steady retrieve—both work. The black finish disappears into the water column, so you're not fighting visibility on darker days.

Road Runner Marabou jigs are effective on crappie, bluegill, and other panfish. The vibration and marabou movement trigger strikes from fish in shallow cover and around structure.
Yes. The black/black finish and spinner vibration work well in low-visibility conditions, including stained water, dawn, dusk, and cloudy days when sight-feeding fish rely more on lateral line detection.
Each pack contains two Road Runner Marabou jigs at 1/8 ounce, so you have a spare or can fish two rods.
At 1/8 ounce, this jig pairs well with ultralight to light spinning rigs and panfish-specific setups. Avoid heavy saltwater or pike gear—the light jig won't cast well and won't flex the rod properly.
