Blakemore
The Blakemore Road Runner Marabou 1/8 White is a compact spinner jig built for crappie and panfish hunters who want a lure that works hard in shallow water and around cover. This underspin pairs a painted jig head with a marabou body and a blade that creates subtle vibrations to draw strikes from crappie, bass, walleye, and other panfish species. At 1/8 ounce, it's light enough to cast on finesse gear and fish slowly through brush, timber, and weeds without snagging on every cast—or at least not every cast.
What makes the Road Runner effective is the combination of visual trigger and feel. The marabou body has natural movement in the water, and the blade adds flash and vibration to get a fish's attention. That pairing makes it work in a range of conditions, from clear water where panfish can see the marabou pulse, to slightly stained water where the blade helps the fish locate the lure. The white finish is a classic choice for crappie, especially in low-light conditions and around darker cover.
This is the kind of lure that earns a permanent spot in your crappie box—simple, proven, and effective enough that you'll tie it on without overthinking it. If you fish shallow structure for panfish or use light tackle for bass, the Road Runner Marabou deserves a close look.
