Blakemore
The Blakemore Road Runner Heads 1/16 4ct Pink is a lightweight jig head built specifically for crappie fishing, whether you're spider rigging, trolling, or casting live bait. These underspin jigs pair a sharp hook with a nickel-plated brass Indiana blade that spins to create flash, vibration, and sound in the water—triggering strikes from even inactive crappie. At 1/16 ounce, they're ideal for working shallow cover, pockets in structure, and finesse presentations where a heavier head would spook fish.
Each pack gives you four ready-to-fish heads in pink—a color that works well in stained water and low-light conditions. The sharp, sticky hook design cuts through a crappie's mouth cleanly for better hook sets and reduced miss rates. Whether you're rigging them on a live minnow for traditional crappie fishing or experimenting with small soft plastics, the blade does the work of attracting fish while you focus on finding them.
Road Runner heads have earned their reputation among crappie anglers because they're simple, effective, and proven. No gimmicks—just a blade that spins, a hook that holds, and a profile that crappie know how to eat. Pair these with a light rod and sensitive line to feel every bite.
| Weight | 1/16 oz |
| Quantity per Pack | 4 |
| Color | Pink |
| Blade Type | Indiana (nickel-plated brass) |
| Style | Underspin / Road Runner Head |
They excel in spider rigging (vertical presentation near cover), trolling parallel to structure, and casting around shallow cover like brush, weeds, or dock pilings. Rig them with a live minnow or small soft plastic and work them slowly—the blade does the attracting while you let the bait do the convincing.
Yes. They're simple, forgiving, and don't require fancy technique. The blade's flash and vibration do much of the work; you just need to present live bait in areas where crappie live. They're a great starting point for learning crappie fishing basics.
We don't have specific rod recommendations in our data, but light crappie rods (typically ultralight to light power) and spinning reels spooled with sensitive 4–8 lb test mono or braid pair well with small heads like these. Visit our staff for personalized rigging advice.
These are bare jig heads. You'll rig them with live bait (minnows are popular) or soft plastics using your own knot or line connection.
