The Blackhawk Sportster Tactical Carbine Case is a 36-inch soft rifle case built to haul your carbine to the range, field, or truck bed without breaking the bank. It's the kind of no-nonsense gear that works: 600D polyester construction with PVC laminate backing stands up to road rash and rough handling, while dual-density foam padding inside keeps your rifle's finish safe from dings and scratches. Whether you're running a 5.56 AR, a lever gun, or a compact tactical rifle, this case gives you straightforward protection in a compact, portable package.

Smart layout for the working shooter: four dedicated magazine pockets let you carry spare mags right in the case, and two exterior accessory pockets hold cleaning kits, tools, or small parts. The case is sized at 36 inches, so measure your rifle length—especially with optics and muzzle devices mounted—before you buy. This isn't a hard case with foam cutouts; it's a padded soft case that trades absolute tank-like protection for weight, packability, and a lower price tag. That tradeoff works fine for routine transport and storage.

Black 600D polyester isn't invisible, but it's durable, and the internal soft fabric won't scuff your bluing or finish. This is the case you buy when you need a dependable carbine bag that doesn't require a second mortgage and fits in a truck, locker, or range bag setup. Blackhawk keeps it simple and honest—just like our customers prefer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a 16-inch AR carbine fit in this case?

The case is 36 inches long. A standard 16-inch AR with a typical stock should fit comfortably, but if you have a longer optic rail extension or oversized muzzle brake, check your total length before purchasing. Measure from the back of the receiver to the furthest point on the muzzle.

Can I use this case for air travel?

We don't have information about TSA or airline compliance. Check with your airline before flying with any firearm case; regulations vary by carrier and destination.

What's included with the case?

The case includes four magazine pockets and two exterior accessory pockets. It does not include magazines, slings, or other firearms accessories—those you'll provide.

Is this case waterproof?

The 600D polyester with PVC laminate backing provides water resistance and is suitable for typical outdoor use and transport, but it is not fully waterproof. For extended wet conditions or submersion, a hard case or dry bag would be more appropriate.
