Black Rain Ordnance
The Black Rain Spec 15+ is a 5.56 AR-15 rifle built on Black Rain Ordnance's modular platform, designed for shooters who want a quality, personalized rifle without the custom-build premium. This "We the People" model comes in sand finish with a deep-engraved receiver that makes a statement—ideal for hunters, range shooters, and recreational shooters who value both form and function. Black Rain has engineered the Spec 15+ to deliver reliable performance right out of the box while giving you the foundation to customize further if the mood strikes.
The rifle runs a proven direct-impingement gas system with a non-adjustable low-profile gas block, keeping maintenance straightforward and reliability high. The 16-inch 4150V chromoly barrel is a solid middle ground for velocity and maneuverability, whether you're working a rifle range or hunting. The salt bath nitride-coated bolt carrier group is tough and corrosion-resistant—the kind of detail that pays dividends downrange and in the field. A mil-spec trigger gives you the controls you're familiar with, and the Castle flash suppressor tames muzzle blast without adding unnecessary length.
Ergonomics are handled by Magpul furniture: the MOE grip and MOE stock are proven, comfortable, and user-friendly. The 15-inch MLOK slim handguard balances weight and real estate for mounting accessories—lights, lasers, or bipods—without turning your rifle into a shopping cart. At 7 lbs 8 oz, the Spec 15+ is nimble enough for varied terrain and light enough for a full day afield. The We the People sand finish is both practical and distinctive, giving you a rifle that looks as serious as it shoots.
Whether this is your first quality AR or an addition to a larger battery, the Spec 15+ delivers the reliability and modularity Black Rain is known for, backed by real engineering and attention to the details that matter.
