Birchwood Casey
The Birchwood Casey TRQL Torque Limiter Set is a 12-piece kit engineered for shooters and gunsmiths who need precise, controlled fastening on firearms. Built on Birchwood Casey's 70+ year reputation for reliability, this torque limiter set takes the guesswork out of scope rings, action screws, and other critical firearm adjustments where over-torquing can strip threads or damage components. Whether you're mounting optics, adjusting triggers, or performing field repairs, having the right tool prevents costly mistakes and keeps your guns running safe and true.
The kit centers on a ratcheting T-handle driver paired with five preset torque limiters calibrated to 15, 25, 35, 45, and 65 inch-pounds—the most common fastening specs in gunsmithing and field work. That flexibility means one set handles everything from delicate scope base screws to heavier action jobs. The 12-bit assortment covers the fastener types you'll actually encounter: six hex bits, four Torx bits, one flat-head bit, and one Allen bit. A 1/4-inch drive socket adapter and 1/2-inch socket round out the kit, giving you options beyond the standard bits.
Everything packs into a zippered case, making this a natural grab for the range bag, truck toolbox, or gunsmithing bench. No need to guess or cross your fingers on torque specs again—just select the limiter that matches your fastener, and the tool stops when you've hit the right tension. It's a small investment that can save you from stripped receivers, misaligned optics, and frustration in the field.
